With his feet firmly under the table at PHS Datasafe, new Commercial Director Nick Burke is well on the way to establishing PHS Datasafe as a nationwide Data Storage Company.  Here, he tells us of the business’ plans for the future, including a great new scheme to help those hit by the recession...

You joined PHS Datasafe in July this year.  Has it been all you expected?

Nick:   I was excited at the prospect of developing PHS Datasafe into a National brand and I haven’t been disappointed.  There is amazing potential to expand throughout the UK, capitalising on our successes and great reputation in the Midlands.  We’ve recently opened new facilities in Bristol and London and with a talented, experienced team to keep me on track I’m relishing the challenge of taking the business forward into a new era, improving our services to current clients and attracting new ones.   

New customers...aren’t they difficult to find?

Nick:  PHS Datasafe has spent years building a loyal and content customer base.  We have a long and close relationship with our clients since they trust us with what is often sensitive and valuable information.  They know that they can call on us to get their data back to them whenever they need it, in as little as 2 hours.  What we need to do is spread the word to areas where our name might not be very familiar so that new clients can experience our services.  Once they have tried PHS Datasafe I’m confident they won’t turn back.  In fact, I’m so sure of this that I’m putting my money where my mouth is and providing a financial incentive for all referrals through our new reward scheme...Bish Bash Dosh!

PHS Datasafe is giving money away?  How does that work?

Nick:  These days, everyone is thankful for a little bit of extra cash in their pockets.  With Bish Bash Dosh! we are asking those who regularly come into to contact with relevant businesses to simply pass on PHS Datasafe’s details.  Ideal targets are legal, financial or insurance companies as well as hospitals, councils, property developers and housing associations, in fact anywhere that needs extra space or secure storage for files, records, archive boxes or electronic data.  All new business generated from these referrals will earn 5% of the first year’s contract value; money for no extra effort.   

What will you do with all this extra business?

Nick:  With extra business comes extra responsibility and so PHS Datasafe is investing in its own bespoke computer system to manage our archives.  We know that this is going to enable us to maintain our great service as the business grows.

But that’s for the future...right now PHS Datasafe is concentrating on looking after our current clients while rewarding others for spreading the word about our great service.  It’s as easy as Bish Bash Dosh!
