> Q. What makes PHS Recordsmanagement different to other storage companies?
Some storage companies ‘manage’ business records as an ‘add on’ to their core removal, logistics or general self storage activities. PHS Recordsmanagement has no such distractions.

 > Q. Does Recordsmanagement have enough capacity?
To cater for our increased regional and national growth, PHS Recordsmanagement has aquired new premises in Birmingham, Bristol and London with the capacity to store in excess of 750,000 boxes.

> Q. What is the difference between a Records Management Company and a Document Storage Company?
Some document storage companies appear very willing to store your records but less willing to proactively advise their clients when older material reaches pre-agreed retention dates.

This means that clients’ records enter the storage equivalent of a ‘Black Hole’ and you end up paying for far more storage than you actually need.

The PHS Recordsmanagement procedure demands that we enter a review date for every box of records that we take custody of (if not known, a maximum date is pre-agreed). Each year we issue a report which allows clients to take informed decisions on information review, retention or destruction in the light of changing legislation.

 
> Q. How exactly is it more cost effective to use a Records Management Company?

> Q. How secure are my records?
Boxed records are stored in brand new secure facilities protected around the clock by CCTV, electronic security, security staff and a sophisticated state of the art fire detection system called VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus).

Data and high value original documents get all this and much more with restricted security, electronic access control and a 2 hour fire rating.

Our experienced personnel are trained and security vetted and we never forget that your records are our Business. The reality is that your records are probably in a safer environment with us than they are with you.
